AFTER MILITARY SERVICE

Finding company after leaving the forces

When you have spent years knowing who you will see on Monday morning, arranging something as simple as a walk with another man can take more effort than expected.

Start with a date and a place

Pick one outing that fits your week and send the organiser a message. A County Wexford hike gives you a meeting point, a route and something to do together while you work out who you get on with. Introductions can be as simple as asking where someone has driven from.

A founder with experience of service

Naoki joined the Royal Marines at 16. Repeated injuries over roughly two years led him to move to the Royal Engineers. He left military service in 2020. Read his account of why he started bringing men together. A man’s rank, service history or civilian background has no bearing on whether he can come for a walk.

Find a routine you can keep

One outdoor morning can be enough to get to know a name or two. A message afterwards gives you a reason to stay in touch. If you are based elsewhere, the online community is open from Ireland and the UK. If you want to work on a specific decision privately, read about coaching with Naoki.

Brotherhood accounts use email sign-in through Supabase, with Resend delivering login emails. Existing members can also use ChatGPT sign-in. We store your profile, photo, directory preference and membership status so these features work across devices. Your sign-in email is not automatically added to the directory.

Find a Brother is optional and off by default. If you opt in, active paying members can see your chosen display name, bio, photo, county and contact details while your paid membership is active. No precise location is collected. You can edit your details, remove your photo or unlist yourself in My account.

Stripe processes subscription payments and holds billing details; The Brotherhood does not store card numbers. Profile data is kept while your profile exists. To request a copy or deletion of your data, email info@thebrotherhoodcommunity.com. Billing records may need to be retained separately.

Contact and check-in tools prepare messages on your device. Nothing is sent through those tools until you choose to send it.
