Which car park?
For the published Brotherhood walk, the meeting point is Raheenleagh Forest Car Park Entrance, Ballyfad, County Wexford. Use the map link on our Croghan Mountain event page. Searching for the summit alone can send walkers towards a different approach.
What the morning involves
The group itinerary is approximately eight kilometres return, with three to three and a half hours allowed for walking. The route includes forest tracks, uphill sections and ground that can feel very different when wet. The planned return to the same car park makes it straightforward to head home or carry on to lunch.
Walking first, food afterwards
The 21 November 2026 event lists a proposed lunch stop at Woodenbridge on the Wicklow side. The walk is free and everyone pays for their own food. Check the dated event page before travelling, especially if you are planning to join for lunch or have a fixed time to get back.
If this is your first hill walk
Tell Naoki what you’ve walked recently and ask how the climbs compare. If another day would suit you better, browse the County Wexford walking group and event listings.
