BEFORE YOU JOIN

Straight answers.

If your question is not here, message Naoki. You do not need to decide anything before asking.

Who is The Brotherhood for? +

Men who want more connection, time outdoors, clearer thinking or something worthwhile to work towards. No particular background or personality is required.

Can I come on my own? +

Yes. Plenty of men arrive without knowing anybody. Tell Naoki it is your first time and you will get clear joining details.

What happens at a local meet-up? +

We meet at the agreed place, walk or run at the planned pace and usually get food or a drink afterwards.

Do I need to be fit? +

It depends on the event. The route, pace and difficulty are explained before you join.

Will I be expected to open up? +

No. You can talk as much or as little as you like. Nothing is forced.

Is there a belief system? +

No. The Brotherhood is grounded in ordinary conversation, psychology-informed ideas, shared effort and real life.

How much does it cost? +

Local meet-ups are usually free or very cheap. Coaching is paid. Gatherings and expeditions are priced individually.

Where do events happen? +

Events are announced individually. The Brotherhood is based in County Wexford and events can take place elsewhere in Ireland or abroad.

Is coaching therapy? +

No. Coaching supports reflection, perspective and accountability. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, crisis support or medical treatment.

Can a beginner join an expedition? +

Often, yes. Each trip has different demands. You will be told what is involved and what preparation is needed.

How do I contact Naoki? +
