Our first Brotherhood event in Ireland brought four men out for ten kilometres, with roughly 400 metres of climbing. That was the starting point for the group here.
Getting the group moving
The numbers tell you something useful if you are thinking of turning up on your own. This began with a group small enough for everyone to know who else had come along. A day outside gave us a shared experience before anyone had to decide what to say about themselves.
A choice the group respects
One theme Naoki took from the day was the value of having your choice about drinking respected. Men should be able to join a walk or stay for food afterwards and choose what they drink without having to make a case for it.
